Katie Summers Reid
As a seasoned bookkeeper and CTEC Certified Tax Preparer, Katie brings a wealth of knowledge to the Keeping Your Balance team.
Katie was raised in the Bay Area by a large family of tax preparers and accountants. As you can imagine, she had a fairly orderly childhood. She was required to account for her allowance down to the penny. In her early adulthood, she rebelled by deciding that she would not work with numbers. However, despite Katie’s best efforts, all her non-accounting jobs ended up with her correcting the books and managing the finances. Her knack for numbers could no longer be denied. Finally, she embraced a profession in bookkeeping as her true calling.
Chris Palley
Chris graduated from Sacramento State University with a business degree in Strategic Management. Immediately upon graduation, he moved to the Central Coast of California and began work in the restaurant industry. Chris worked as a District Manager for Round Table Pizza in Santa Barbara County for six years and was twice recognized for his hard work and dedication with Round Table Pizza’s Manager of the Year Award. After spending more time in a kitchen than anyone ever should, Chris returned to the Bay Area to live the exciting life of a Bookkeeper. He joined our firm in 2010 and it was a perfect fit. Chris loves promoting the teamwork environment that distinguishes the KYB offices. He is now a veteran Account Manger and a CTEC Registered Tax Preparer.
